the hottest places to drink coffee...
It's not easy to find good coffee in this city, so when you do, one must share the love!!
South West London
Milk (Balham)
SW12 9RG
A favourite of mine in the south west of London. Set in the trendy suburb on Balham, and recently having undergone a big renovation, Milk is the place to be! Australian owned and run, serving excellent coffee and scrumptious brunch ideas. Be prepared to queue for a table over the weekend, but well worth the wait!

Black Lab Coffee (Clapham Common)
SW4 7AB
Another one of my favourite coffee spots in the south west. Black Lab Coffee is directly Clapham Common park, and right outside the tube stop. In summer, I love going for walks around the common with friends, and then stopping in for a well brewed cappuccino as a treat afterwards. It has a biggish outdoor setting, so is perfect for the warmer months.

Artisan (Putney)
SW15 6SG
Nestled within the leafy green suburb of Putney, in London's southwest, this is where you will find a great brew of coffee. Another Australian owned café, where you can enjoy a lamington or an Anzac biscuit on the side. Artisan is small and cosy, so be prepared to wait for a table over the weekends!
Light on the Common (Wimbledon)
SW19 5AX
A gorgeous spot right on Wimbledon Common, the perfect location to stop before a big walk. First coffee I've found in the whole of Wimbledon that was not only drinkable, but exceptionally good. If you're a Melbournite like myself, imagine a coffee as good as we'd get back home. You'll find it here. Worth a visit! Also good for a tasty brunch - smashed avo on toast, big fry up. Well done Light on the Common!

The Dynamo (Putney)
SW15 2NA
Great location just off Putney High Street, close to Wandsworth Park and Putney Bridge. Situated on the Wandsworth - Waterloo bike path, this buzzing café is a cyclists dream for a coffee stop mid-ride. Check them out for a solid Sunday brunch, for a delicious sourdough pizza, and most importantly, the perfect coffee. I'm not sure if the owners are Australian, but The Dynamo has the most perfect Melbourne feel to it. It's busy on the weekends, but worth the wait for a table!
East London
Climpson & Sons (Broadway Market)
E8 4PH
Broadway Market - a Saturday only street market nestled in the heart of Hackney, East London. Worth checking out for the market stalls alone, but even the street itself offers a huge variety of fantastic food and drink. For an amazing takeaway only coffee, you must check out Climpsons & Sons. With queues out the door, Bonsoy soy milk, and friendly baristas, this one is worth a peek! Tip - order a large, unless you want a teeny tiny coffee like mine!

Fuckoffee (Southwark)
SE1 3UW
Humorous? Sure. Amazing coffee? Yes! Most memorable name going round town? ABSOLUTELY! Whilst the name may put some off, Fuckoffee truly have one of the best brews of coffee in town. Love the vibe at this place. Grab your laptop and head down for a few hours of work with other locals. You won't find tourists in here.
