"If you want to know about a culture, spend a night in its bars" - Ernest Hemingway It's no secret that Ernest Hemingway enjoyed a tipple or two, and frequented many bars around the world. But did you know that he actually improved many cocktail recipes? It's why drinks such as the famous Hemingway Daiquiri are present on many cocktail menus throughout the world. Quoting absinthe, rum, and champagne as his drinks of choice, many bars are now using these as bases for Hemingway inspired cocktails. One of which happens to be nestled in the cobbled streets of Prague, The Hemingway Bar - a cocktail bar inspired by the man himself. http://www.hemingwaybar.cz/bar-prague/ The bar, which spans over two floors, offers intimate seating in dimmed rooms. The bartenders are all highly experienced and offer excellent service. The cocktail menu is like nothing I've ever seen before. As quoted on their website, the Hemingway Bar aims to "achieve the upmost in cocktail gastronomy". They sure do deliver on this front! From "Hemingway's Gasoline", to "Mary Welsh", to "Christmas in Havana" - each cocktail is creatively linked to the author himself, and absolutely beautifully presented. "Swan Lake" Blueberry and Blackcurrant Caipiroska The cocktails range in price, but on average are 250CZK (£7.80). Drinking in Prague in notoriously cheap, but don't expect this at the Hemingway Bar. Whilst the cocktails here are significantly more expensive than other bars, the service, quality of the cocktails, and the Instagramable nature of the drinks makes the experience totally worth a more expensive bill at the end.
