"You're entirely BONKERS. But I'll tell you a secret, All the best people are" ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland Does anyone else have childhood memories of falling down the rabbit hole alongside Alice in Walt Disney's 1951 classic? Or re-creating the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in your own living room? Ok, how about playing croquet with the Queen of Hearts in your backyard? If, like me, the old Alice in Wonderland cassette got such a regular workout in your VCR that you could quote the movie line for line, then do yourself a favour and head on into ACMI's Wonderland. This interactive exhibition portrays years worth of Lewis Carroll's Alice works and interpretations, starting from the first Alice film in 1903 to the most recent, Alice Through the Looking Glass in 2016. The adventure begins upon receiving your interactive map - your key to the magical world of Wonderland. Use this map carefully as you shrink in size to crawl through the teeny tiny doorway to Wonderland, to escape from the Queen of Hearts (before she takes off with your head) and keep it handy whilst enjoying your tea party with The Mad Hatter himself. Take a leisurely stroll through the 9 rooms, each unveiling history on the Alice adventures. Just remember...the more curious you are, the more you will discover. Wonderland ACMI, Federation Square, Melbourne Open daily until 7th October For tickets and bookings, visit www.acmi.net.au/events/wonderland/
